And We Were Like Shooting Stars…

And we were there, sitting next to each other… Looking at the sky, like two children looking for shapes among the constellations or a shooting star in the middle of the night, when the rest of the world was silent, but we were making our world …We were like children, getting excited and immersing ourselves in joy at every step, at every new day we drew, at every sky we gave life and happiness… At every discovery that we came across… We were the writers of our book, of the novel that we wrote together with each passing day, with each moment we spent together, with each laugh that we drew on our faces, with each smile that we sketched not only on our faces but also in the depths of our hearts…

We were the playwrights and painters who bestowed joy, life, and happiness to the story we were making out… To the same story that I observe that is fading away in the distance of time and space… And now my hand is trying its hardest to grab it, even though I am not even able to distinguish where our union has gone…

We were like two shooting stars that meet in the most hidden places of the sky… We met, we traveled together worlds and stars, we wrote a story, we gave each other light in moments of darkness, we bestowed each other warmth on cold nights, we granted each other consolation on sad nights, we hugged each other when our hearts were on the verge of collapse… But just like that, we left… we lost each other, like falling stars, that in the blink of an eye, they are lost in the distance of the cosmos, leaving only a trail of light in their wake, and when the precise moment arrives, there is only a flash of light warning that everything is over, that the chapter has ended up, letting us know that, it’s time to accept that those beautiful moments are now part of the thing we call “Past”…

And if one day we meet again, I will be the happiest person…
